Our Location

Our cooperative, Frutos de Selva, is located in the beautiful San Martin region of Peru, specifically in Moyobamba, in the Indañe sector, at an altitude of 860 meters above sea level. This area, known for its lush vegetation and ideal climate, is home to our dedicated coffee partners.

The members of our cooperative grow coffee in various locations in the department of San Martin, located between 1600 and 1900 meters above sea level. Among these locations are the towns of Soritor, Jepelacio, and the left bank of the Mayo River. These altitudes provide the perfect conditions to produce a high quality coffee, characterized by its unique flavor and aroma.

Our History

We began our history on March 22, 2006, as an initiative of small coffee growers from Alto Mayo, who wanted to improve their production and obtain better prices for their product. Frutos de Selva was initially supported by the Fondo de Cooperación para el Desarrollo Social (FONCODES) for its incorporation. Throughout our history, we have collaborated with national and international institutions such as ROOT CAPITAL, VERDE VENTURES, FONDO PROGRESO, SUSTAINABLE HARVEST and SOLIDARIDAD. Frutos de Selva is made up of 242 members, grouped in 18 Local Committees of Associates (CLAS) in the Department of San Martin. Of these, 153 members are certified and 9 members are in the membership stage.
